COVID-19 Vaccine Incentive Plan for Students, Employees

By | August 23, 2021

College of Charleston President Andrew T. Hsu on Friday, Aug. 20, 2021, announced details of a new incentive plan aimed at encouraging students, faculty and staff to get the COVID-19 vaccination and to voluntarily share their vaccine information with the College.

Vaccine information may be uploaded at the links below:

Beginning Thursday, Aug. 26, the College will hold random drawings to pick winners from among all students and employees who have provided their vaccine information. Prizes include scholarships for students and grants for employees.

We have had a good response to our voluntary uploads thus far, and I hope that these incentives will serve as a thank you to those who have already provided their information and as an additional motivation to those who have not yet done so,” Hsu said in a message to the campus community. “And please keep in mind that these monetary incentives, while significant, are nothing compared to the true incentive that the vaccines offer to us: saving lives.”
