Public Safety Investigating Reported Incidents of Indecent Exposure

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Act, the Department of Public Safety is informing the College of Charleston campus of reported indecent exposures involving male suspects. 

Date (of offense): 08/26 – 8/28, 2022

Time (of offense):  5:30 PM and 7:30-11:30 AM

Reported to: College of Charleston Department of Public Safety and The Charleston Police Department

Location: Two separate areas south of Calhoun St. One being on St. Philip St. and one on Coming St. near Montague St.

Suspects status:  Remain at large

Suspect Description: White male and black male, 25-40 years of age, one possibly wearing a hat and surgical mask

Incident Description: The Department of Public Safety is investigating several reported incidents of indecent exposure where a white male and black male suspect have been viewed exposing themselves in parked cars on St. Philip St. and on Coming St. The vehicles involved have been described as a white sedan with black seats and a tan SUV.  If you encounter someone committing an offense, dial 911 immediately; take note of suspect and vehicle description. Do not approach them.
