How is the College supporting students who live off campus?

The College of Charleston has encouraged private apartment operators and landlords to work with students and families regarding their leases during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the College does not have any contractual or legal authority over these private entities. Students who have off-campus leases should contact their landlords if they have any questions about their leases.

On March 31, President Andrew Hsu sent a letter to the operators of student apartments and asked that they consider providing rent abatements or payment options to reduce the burden on families and students during this difficult time.
